Main Features

SR2_Analog_16 is an add-on board for the Signal Ranger MK2 board. It provides two functions:
  • Provides 16 analog inputs and 16 analog outputs.

  • Provides bus switches on Signal Ranger MK2’s FPGA I/Os. These bus switches provide protection to the I/Os and to external circuitry connected to them in case Signal Ranger MK2 is powered while the external circuitry is not, or vice versa. Furthermore, they make I/Os configured as inputs 5V-tolerant.
Three of Signal Ranger MK2’s FPGA I/Os are used to manage the Analog Interface Circuits (AICs). Therefore, these I/Os are not available to the user when SR2_Analog_16 is present. In addition, the AICs also use two McBSPs of the DSP and four channels of the DMA controller. Therefore, they are not provided to the user either.
